Abstract pencil drawing with egg by artist Lori Markman
Good-Bad, Perfect-Failure
Ink and Pencil on paper
14 inches x 13 1/2 inches
2003

The dichotomy of the perfectionist. Everything is either Good or Bad, Right or Wrong, Perfect or a Failure. The egg? Perhaps the very beginning of growth out of the perfectionist mess. This drawing was the very first of my abstract pencil drawing series which is still on-going. At that time, little did I know what that egg was going to hatch into. I was just searching for something unknown...

This original drawing is ink and pencil on white paper. It is signed and dated.

As usual, the camera does not pick up the detail, the fine lines, the layer upon layer of line work on this drawing. This drawing took somewhere about 40 hours to complete.

The drawing is unframed and should be framed and matted to protect it.

The price of this drawing includes all domestic within the US shipping and handling. International shipping is extra and will be paid for by the buyer at a price arranged by the artist and the buyer.
