This painting was created several years after my father's suicide and includes, in pencil, in fragmented phrases, the note he left behind. It depicts my feelings that now he was a disembodied, amorphous spirit in this universe and the sadness and feeling of loss. However, the note he left was one of love, of seeking forgiveness and redemption. In it my father was able to express his love, concern and support for his family and to express the feelings difficult for him to express in life.
